subdivision edge creasing

Hey so we're vetting octane for a large project and need subdivision edge creasing to work... A houdini subdivision correctly subdivides the geo but octanes openSUBD does not. Am I missing something? Is it not possible within the houdini/octane plug-in?

Yes, I think that the Octane API supports the subdivision edge creasing data in the OpenSUBd meshes, but the plugin doesn't support this feature yet. I'll try to add this feature, but meanwhile remember that the plugin should be able to render the Houdini subdivision surfaces without problems. The extraction time could be longer, but the compilation time in Octane will be shorter, and finally the GPU memory used will be the same.

Hmm let me see what'd it'd take to just bake in 2 levels for ever asset. We're looking at 10's of 1000's of assets for this particular project.
