Building Octane Machine - Advice

Hello,
Mac guy here looking into building a PC workstation specifically for Octane. I'll primarily be using C4D/Octane and building around 4 GPUs. Looking for advice on some configurations I'm considering...
I'm leaning toward this overclocked gaming PC from MAINGEAR with the following stats:
MAINGEAR FORCE X99
• Motherboard: ASUS RAMPAGE V EDITION 10
• Processor: Intel® Core i7 6900K 8-core 3.2GHz/3.7GHz Turbo 20MB L3 Cache
• Memory: 32GB HyperX® PredatorT DDR4- 3000(4x8GB) [QUAD Channel]
• Graphics Card: QUAD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5x
• GPU Liquid Cooling: Quad Card EK Supremacy - Nickel
• Power Supply: 1500 Watt Corsair® AX1500i 80+ Titanium Modular PSU
Note the liquid-cooled quad GTX 1080's in this i7 machine. Thoughts? I'm quoted around $9500
Also considering a similar build, but with a dual Xeon's instead. The difference being it will not be liquid-cooled. I'm assuming that would make for a hot and loud machine?
As stated, I'm a long-time Mac user, so this is new territory for me. Thank in advance for any input!
