Otoy's unconventional rendering terms?

I've run into a couple head-scratcher words working with Octane.

Specular material = transparent/translucent material :?

Float image = Grayscale Image :|

What are some other frequently used... ::ahem:: "unconventional" terms does Octane use that I should be aware of?

distributed raytracing = use motion blur and depth of field :shock:
