How about fresnel effect linked to a glossiness map?

It would be useful to have a control over the fresnel effect, linked to glossiness map.
For roughness material, the fresnel effect in real world is attenuate, but not in octane!
A solution would be a mix material, but it is computational intensive i think.

Hi nuno can you post a node setup what you are talking about seems interesting but I'm having a hard time visualizing it.

Nobody asked about a mirror, nuno1980. Quit coming on the forums if you can't be helpful...which you NEVER are. Go render a crystal to 11,400,000 PMC samples or something.

@noldo, don't listen to nuno, he's a pain in everybody's ass and derails every conversation. I've requested to get him banned multiple times because of his uselessness on this forum.
Anyway, yeah, more control over the fresnel falloff without having to add a falloff node would be nice. I've done a lot of research into the falloff of octane's glossiness vs real life. What are you referring to the attenuate in real life and not in octane? mind to clarify that?

I'm pretty sure that he is referring to the fact that the Fresnel value decreases as the roughness of the material goes up as well, I learn it looking at this tutorial:

So he is wondering how to do this in Octane, I tried to do this once but failed miserably.

you can map a falloff node to the spec slot to achieve this. I did some extensive, measured testing of the falloff of octane's glossy material and found it to be accurate as it is, without the falloff node. Although, I do sometimes using a falloff node to enhance the fresnel effect.
