I've started an new thread for this one, but it might be related to the other issues with network rendering on OSX.

If you stop a render in PV with Network rendering enabled Cinema will hang on the Warning dialog (The external renderer is calculating...are you sure you want to stop?)

Have to force quit.

It's not clear what you mean. What's STOP command here? Any SCREENSHOT for this message?
