Where can I download and find more information about the supposed new Octane Photoshop Plugin that makes it possible to render out your 3dsmax scene directly to a PSD file with all of the layers ?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,

That's not quite the way the plugin works. Basically you export an OpenEXR with all your layers and a compositing file that you can load via the plugin from Photoshop, which will arrange all layers for you.

Here's all information about it (scroll down until you find it).

You may download it from the latest release post or install it directly from the Adobe Add-ons website.

Best,

Photoshop CC 2014 or earlier (up to CS6 (13.0): If you've downloaded the extension bundle, it can be installed via the Adobe Extension Manager CC, which makes sure all the contained plugins and additional files are properly set up within Photoshop.
Photoshop CC 2015: The extension can be added to Photoshop via the Adobe Add-ons website. Alternatively, if you have downloaded the extension bundle from the forums, note that the extension manager has been discontinued by Adobe for CC 2015 applications, so you may use ZXPInstaller as an alternative.
Not sure I get the info above, does this mean that it works with cs4?

Thanks
Jorgensen

At the moment all versions from CS6 are supported.

If there would be enough user requests we might look into extending support for older versions.

Well I'm probably the only one in here, that uses this old dinosaur version of PS,
but we find that adobes price- and subscribtion policy is to expensive :-(

I am afraid you are the first one but might not be the last one so we'll take into account your request.

Just so you know, we just recently added support for CS6 and some users were able to successfully install it and use it, so this solution might work also for your, just take into account that it is not officially supported, so we cannot guarantee all functionality will work.
