If I buy 3ds Max octane 3 can I go back to version 2 easily? Do textures work fine with version 3 that were made in version 2. Thank you.

If you activate your license on the v3 plugin, you will be able to change your plugin versions, and still have your scenes look the same. The furthest you can go back with v2 is version 2.23.2 - 2.0. Apart from that, you can reinstall between v2 and v3 at will with an activated v3 license, with the scenes looking the same.
