Multi-region better for more right caustics

Hi, guys.

I tested v3.01.1b and I can see the difference between single region (eg: region of 1002x602 at 1002x602) and multi-region (eg: region of 512x384 at 2560x1600) is huge for caustics.

---> Multi-region is better caustics than single region at SAME resolution screen. :D

I rendered to complete 1st region... but no next region until rest regions!??!??? :? :( Bug!??

Hi Nuno,
if I have correctly understood what you wanted to say, it seems logical to me since the power is concentrated to the most complex portion of the image without losing power on the entire image, isn't it?
ciao beppe

Better understand for screenshots here. :)

-- Multi-region (region of 1002x602 at 3840x2400) - OR 3.01.1b
wedding@region of 1002x602 at 3840x2400 - daylight-08h@50diff+52spec-depth,10k-reject_102000 spp-3h47min.png
-- Single-region (region of 3840x2400 at 3840x2400) - OR 3.00
wedding@3840x2400 - daylight-08h@50diff+52spec-depth,10k-reject_102877 spp-50h42min_GPU faIled.PNG
Both these screenshots at only 102k spp - multi-region is much more visible and much better caustics. :)
PMC kernel settings default except 50-diff; 52-spec; 10k-reject; caustic blur 0.000; parallelism 1

Therefore, next release of OR will render next region until rest regions after 1st region completed.

No, in top image.

@abstrax or @developer: Are you developing for multi-region?
