my config
- Windows 7
- 2 x GTX780 ti
- RAM 32G°
- NVidia driver 353.62 Cuda 7.5 15
- OctaneStandalone 3_01_1b
- Octane-for-C4D-V3.0-R1.1
- C4D R17.048

I finally do a fresh install of R17 + Octane 3 but with one of my two stations Octane3 don't work.

First the Standalone work perfectly.
But most of the elements of the octane GUI C4D freeze.
I can open the live viewer and use the Icon menu (thus I can launch the render of the view).
but as soon as i touch the live viewer viewport c4d freeze.
Using the LV menu bar almost all the time cause c4d freeze. Precisely some entry works like Octane daylight but most not.
Open Octane Dialog or Octane Setting windows same thing.

On the other hand i can do a render with the picture viewer.
and I can manipulate the view with the C4D viewport. While i don't try to LiveViewer Work.

I join a capture with just the C4D console since I can't open the Octane console.
and another where you can see what's happen if I try to open the settings windows

I join also the c4d's bug reports.

First can you please try on latest build? V3.02-R2

Its almost the same.

The message in the console is différent. This time a render Failure is signaled.

I suppose you have an issue about drivers or gpus. Can you check devices section without sending any render?
What's your previous working version? Driver and gpus?
Also check your installation for multi copies of plugin and wrong files.

I can't open the setting windows even before opening the LV
My previous working version was Octane-for-C4D-2.25-R3-win with nvidia drivers 344.11

It's a fresh install of R17. Octane is the only one plug-in
I have also installed the v3.01 in C4d R15 to see and its works fine.

I try also in the apllication or prefs plugins folder but it's the same.

I don't think there is a bug. Because a few thousands people run it without problems. Please update your driver to new one.

My first try was with the last version of the nvidia driver and its the same. More there is a problem with aero.
It's why I downgrade the driver version.

Seems to be complicated.

May be I can use this station like a slave for Octane3 since the rendering itself work.

But in this case in attemp for fully working stations, I would like continue to use Octane 2.5.
Is it a probleme to use the network render alternatively with 3 or 2.5.
Can or Must i install two daemons ?
