Hello,

I have a small problem with the software. Since version 3, the server application keeps crashing and close automatically (no message is displayed). Therefore, blender tells me that the server is not running (in the best case) or freeze completely Blender (in the worst case).

I tested launched the server in administrator mode. The problem remains the same.

I currently use the testing release:

Blender Octane Edition - 9.11 (2.76)
Octane Server - 2.25 - 9.11

But I have the same problem with the stable version (server - 2.23.2, blender octane 9.3).

My graphics card is an Nvidia 980 ti with the latest 368.39 drivers.

I am on windows 10 64 bits

Someone has an idea to solve this problem ?

Same here on OSX. Server crashes randomly.

Server crashes all the time.
It is strange that Otoy developers are doing with Blender users.
Old Blender version (2.76), old Octane version
and crashing...
I really think, the time to stop this suffering is very close.

There is already a thread in "Bug Reports" about crashing (not for me).
@Windows user, may start Server from a command shell to get error messages.

This bug has been fixed in version 9.12.

If you are having similar issue - please continue in that initial thread.

If you have some other issues with 9.12 - please open a new report-thread in "Bug reports" section and make a detailed step-by-step description of how to reproduce (perhaps with a scene attached). I will pay attention to such proper 9.12 bug reports as soon as possible.
