Hey gang, i tried to do this on my own through research and i've hit a wall. I've got R16 and I got my work to purchase a few licenses of octane but i can't seem to get them to work. They are being very lenient on us but it's been over 2 months and i still haven't been able to get it to work.

We got Bizon boxes, not my choice but I just have to deal with it and make it work.

I installed the latest Cuda Drivers, ran goalque's script to get the latest drivers. Everything appears to be fine. My mac is detecting the video card all is good. The problem now comes when i try to run octane. Can't run standalone because i get an error, and the plugin doesn't show up in cinema.

Any ideas?

What's version of C4D? I mean subversion numbers. Also you have just one Nvidia card you know?

I have only 1 Nvidia card.

Nice you need at least 16.050. It's noted in readme.txt file.

We didn't see that requirement in the download package? I'll have to go back and read through the thread thanks for pointing that out.


In regards to the version, I may have to reach out to Maxon as we seem to have the update already installed on the machine.


Ever see this issue before?

By the way i got the standalone to work now. So it's not the video card. !!!! Yay! Now if i could only get c4d!

Sorry! It's old readme. I have updated after some recent versions. It should work in C4D too.
