file referencing or something like that?

Hey, just a thought on large animation productions with hundreds of shots.

Will there be a way to reference shader files for each render setup?

For example, say I was rendering a blue ball and I had 100 shots set up to render with a blue ball shader, but then the client wants a red ball instead. Can we have a system where we just change the blue shader to red in one file like a master referenced file? Instead of changing the shader to red manually in 100 different octane files?

Don't know if I made this completely clear. But I just wanted to see if there was a way for the octane render to look at a master list of shaders with all the settings for each production, instead of inputting shader settings in each octane render file by hand.

Hi,

Yeah the RIB format is a programmable scope based format that allows you to swap in/out pieces by including different files.
