Texture animation range not working

Hi
I have a 100 frame jpeg sequence placed inside an image texture of the opacity channel, with the movie start and end frames set at 0 and 99. I need the sequence to start at frame 25 of the timeline, so I set the timing to Range with start at 25 and end at 124, but it doesn't seem to work, the movie is just hidden for the first 25 frames instead of being hidden and starting at frame 25. This is in both LV and PV.
It works perfectly fine in the standard renderer, but not in Octane.
I have 20 shots to do all using the same animated texture, and all will need starting at a different time so I don't really want to be prerendering the same movie 20 times just to change the starting point!
Any ideas? Maybe it's simply been overlooked and not implemented properly?
