Camera Exposure setting changes after saving/loading scene

Hi.
In the 3.14 TEST release I'm getting a strange behaviour on the Exposure settings in the Octane Camera.
If I set the exposure to 50 and save, the next time I load the scene it's basically cut in half, giving a darker image.
If I save again, and reload, value is cut in half again on the next load.

Also, the gamma slider does not seem to work as in the 2.x version, now the value does not affect the image at all.
This is identical under max 2016 and 2017.

Anything I could be doing wrong, or anyone with the same experience?

Hi,

Thank you for raising this issue. I will see if I can duplicate this on my end, and see what can be done to resolve the issue.

As for the gamma, you provide screenshots of what you are doing in the interface? There have been a number of reports regarding gamma that are actually the result of a change to how gamma is handled (first seen in version 2.24.2 - 2.16).

Cheers,
Azen

Yes there is an issue with exposure, I think it broke in some version, cause it saved at .184 in an earlier version and then I later opened the scene and saved it at 1.0 but it always goes back to .184.

Thanks Azen for your feedback and for looking into this.
You are probably right for the gamma, as this has not been handeled throught the camera properties after 2.24.2 - 2.16. Seems to work using a regular camera and adjusting the gamma through the Render/Camera tab.

Another issue I get with the 3.14 release is when using Octane Camera and setting focus type to "focal depth". The value entry here seems to be way off the measured distance of the camera>object distance.
On one scene I had to set the focal distance to 1/10 of the actual distance for a correct focus. Will test further and post my findings as soon as I have more accurate input.

I can't reproduce the issue with "Exposure" value of the camera. Whenever I change it, save the scene and reopen it again - the value remains the last saved...
Could somebody give more detailed steps to reproduce?.. Or perhaps the scene where you have this value "sticked".

Hi guys

for me same problem, every time i save my scene, exposure value of octane cameras under the tab imager change, i set it at 2,5 and always became lower (not always the same value).
I work with 3dsmax plugin 3.02 - 3.17

I tryed to copy all the stuff in a new scene with default render settings but the problem still remain.

Thanks

I have attempted, once again, to duplicate the bug. Once again, it was unsuccessful.

I followed these steps:

- Open a scene in 3ds Max
- Select the OctaneCamera
- Under "Modify", int the "Imager" tab, I set the "Exposure" from it's default (1.0) to 3.7.
- I saved the scene and closed 3ds Max

Upon reopening, the Exposure value remained 3.7, as expected.

Please let me know if these steps are in line with what you are doing? Screenshots, or even a test scene, would be appreciated. If it weren't for the inability to duplicate this bug, this would be a fairly straight-forward bug to address. Thanks for the reports thus far

Try THIS version. Must be fixed.
