External Batch Render

Hi,
Searching the forum for this subject I only found about the Batch render script,
which is about animation rendering.
When I think about Batch Rendering,
is set multiple rendertargets from multiple sessions to render later in a controlled way.
That might be in an independent OR application managing the render(targets).
i.e.
I open one scene 1 and set a few rendertargets to render later for 'External Batch Rendering".
Later I open scene 2 and set a few rendertargets to render later for 'External Batch Rendering".
And so on...
When I am ready to render all, I open the 'External Batch Rendering"
and select the rendertargets I want to render and it will be done one after the other.
Maybe I missed something, but I it is not part of OR now, right?
If not, then I hope it will developed as part of the software soon.
I have used this in other render software and is 'a must have'.
Untill then:
I think it is already possible with writing scripts ourselves, no?
Maybe you smart guys can tell where to find that or how to do this?
I hope it is and that it is very easy.
cheers,
