Help me pick a CPU.

Hi!

I'm having trouble deciding what CPU to build my new machine with. I've been reading reviews of the new broadwell-e chips coming out and am not totally thrilled by the performance vs price. If the 10 core was $1000 I probably would have bought that but its way over priced. Now I'm not sure if it would be in my best interesting to stick with a cheaper CPU and put money somewhere else or not. I was thinking about the 6900k but I think it would only really benefit me for photogrammetry processing. I was also thinking about the 5930k in the past but I'm open to any ideas...here are the specs for the other components below. I will be using a 980ti and either buying another 980ti or buying a 1080 depending on how they preform with Octane.

I have started devloping for VR with the vive but also do a lot of 3D rendering with octane, process 3D objects with agisoft, sculpt high poly with zbrush, and do a lot of work with adobe products.

Intel Core i7-5930 3.5 Ghz is my favorite right now. Best price/performance.
