I have a couple composting questions.


1) Is it possible to use and HDRI but make the background invisible to camera (leaving only black) and keep the lighting and reflections.

2) Is it possible to use more than one HDRI in the environment, it seems like the override each other.

3) Are composting options only limited to hiding shadows and visibility. Will there be any support for hiding objects in reflections or indirect diffuse etc.

1) yes use alpha channel and do it in post.
2) v3 has two hdri now. for GI and others. See visible environment parameter.
3) not possible

1) So there is no way to do this in the live preview (besides seeing that checkered background)

2) I'm not sure what this means, it's still doing the same thing. Can you give more of an explanation?

i think you don't have much experience on plugin. Investigate keep environment, alphachannel and LV->options->show alpha. If you still want to paint background use background object. Otherwise use post to mix somethings to background. I don't have any example for two hdri usage, it's very new addon. Why do you think I am asking, obviously cause I'm learning it. But thinks for reminding me I'm a beginner.

I'm asking because many people ignores the video tutorials, it mostly cover nearly all options. When i asked that they generally says that don't know it. I'm trying to decrease my spent time on support to able work on plugin much more.

Do you see this view counters? They are here since one year or more.
