3.00 R1.1 Render Failure

Hi Ahmet,

Firstly here's my setup:
- Windows 10
- 3 * Titan X and networked: 2 * 780Ti & 1 * Titan (2013)
- 32GB
- Nvidia driver 361.91
- OctaneRender Standalone version 3.00 (release)
- OctaneRender plugin version 3.00 - R1.1
- Cinema 4D R17.048

I'm getting a render failure when I press Render to Picture Viewer if the Live viewer is rendering, but it only happens when I have "Use All Gpus" active and only when not all of the GPUs are selected in the Devices tab.
It's really hard to explain (sorry)! Below, I'll post some screenshots of my setup and say when it works and when it fails:

This happens in all scenes I've tried, no specific scene.
1. These are the settings that I have when it fails (Live viewer is rendering):

Image

It doesn't matter which GPUs I have selected in "Devices" as long as at least one GPU is not selected.

2. This is the resultiing render failure:

Image

If I press "Render to Picture Viewer" immediately after this failure, the render starts without issue (most likely because the LV isn't active).

3a. I can avoid the failure by disabling "Use All Gpus" (everything else is in the same state - LV running, only 2 GPUs selected):

Image

3b. I can also avoid the issue and use all 3 GPUs when I just select then in "Devices":

Image

With this setting it renders fine with "Use All Gpus" checked or unchecked.

To summarise:

- Live Viewer has to be active and rendering.
- At least one GPU has to be unselected in "Devices"
- "Use All Gpus" has to be active in Render Settings.

Phew, sorry for the overload of info, I've been chasing this bug around :D
I've spoken to some other users and they experienced similar issues, not exactly the same but I'm sure they are related.

Let me know if you need any more information from me!

cheers,
brasc

Ok I'm here.
1- LV rendering will be disabled as soon as started PV render. So PV will not affect LV.
2- I'm using it hundreds times everydays like this way and doesn't comes to me.
3- Only idea which comes to mind that can be a issue about device activation.
4 and last: Please and please always try to capture some output when you post any issues. Especially "Render failures". These are happening in the Renderer so plugin and me can't know anythings about them.

Apply these procedures
1-When Render failure happens, open Octane Log and copy paste here.
2-Extract this "octane_log_flags.txt" to C4D main folder. Restart C4D and produce "render failure". Save log output to a file and send here. Don't forget to delete this file after test.

Brasc thanks but second log is not working.
I think you couldn't put "octane_log_flags.txt" to same place with Cinema4D.exe. You should see much more output in Octae Log window if it's workings.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit thin on data :D

I do have the file next to the .EXE though:
