Hi,

Is there a way to use a sequence of VDB files?

Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi Sighman,

Thank you for your answer :)

I can't see the big picture here!? Why would I use a vdb file for a still in Carrara? I usually use Photoshop or Particular for postprocessing when it comes to still images. Is anyone really creating vdb files for stills here?

Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi Sighman,

I saw that you updated the VDB sequence. Great job, thank you :)

However, could you please try to render the VDB file below in Carrara? It throws an error if I try. Rendering in Octane Standalone works fine...

Best wishes,

I found the problem. This VDB file only contains a single grid. You need to go into the Import Settings and assign the Emission channel to 'density' BEFORE you open the Octane Render window. I'll fix this in the next release.
