Octane V3

Hi guys,
I have two questions before I pay for the upgrade to Version 3.
1) What do I get in version 3 that I do not get in the previous version?
2) Do I need to upgrade the standalone and the plugin or can I just upgrade the plugin?

https://docs.otoy.com/Standalone_2_0/?page_id=3405. Some of these features are not supported by the Poser plugin because Poser does not have the features (such as Volume support).
2) Do I need to upgrade the standalone and the plugin or can I just upgrade the plugin?
You need to update both (there is a bundle offer when you do this).

Paul, to verify V.3 Octane Poser Plugin is unable to render Poser volumetrics?

Isn't it possible to transfer the Poser atmosphere (fog) to V3?

What you mean by "Poser volumetics" pls?
Sorry, will the new V.3 Octane Poser Plugin be able to render Poser Volumetric Atmospheres such as fog, haze, or steam like Fire Fly does?

Yes, it does that - and is described in the links I posted above (ie. the Medium pin on the Texture Environment node).
