Daz vr movies with Octane

I would like to create stereoscopic 360 degree movies in Daz. I am familiar with 3d animation but when it comes to all the technical details of rendering I get rather lost. Too use Octane I need to buy the standalone and the Daz Plugin? The scenes will be for the GearVR. I would like to know if it's relatively easy to render VR animations with Daz and Octane. I've seen a few instructions that look simple but I don't know if they're leaving out a ton of steps for newbies like me. I'm also a little confused about the camera. Once I have my scene in Daz do I use a Daz camera to set up the first person view or do I open the Octane plugin and set up a camera from that?
It would be great if someone could make a short video tutorial that shows all the steps once the Daz animation is finished right up until it's loaded onto my phone for viewing with the Gear VR.
Any help would be appreciated. It's a lot of money to spend on software without knowing if it's beyond my technological grasp. The demo doesn't seem to allow vr rendering.
I've played with Unity a little but it seems rather complicated and mostly geared toward games and interactive scenes.
