Hi
We use AO and if we set our environment to black or do not add the sun our ceiling is black, Also environment color and sun affect ceiling color but not walls even though it is fully closed in interior scene
Is it how AO works . Diffuse works fine
Thanks

here is another example sunset and ceiling inside is also orange because of this. Only surfaces like ceilings get affected by this AO bug

HI,
Please confirm the plugin version (the latest 2.x release, or the latest Octane 3 test build?), and the OS that you are using. Also, could you go into a little more detail about the material you have used for the ceiling? There could be some unintended attribute in the material affecting how it receives light - I will need to know more to be sure.
Cheers,
Azen

Hi
I am using 2.23.2 1.9 for 3ds max 2014. We use Windows 7 Ultimate.
Any texture diffuse, glossy will do this.
If you create a box made out of separate boxes one box for wall another for ceiling then add a sun light (dusk) ceiling get the color of sunset even though box has no holes
Thanks
