Why all the sudden does motion blur work for liquids?

We use Lucid for 3ds max to create liquids, Lucid can turn any object to liquid with changing topology. And in this test file our sphere kept motion blur even though its topology was changing. Strange.

This program should help otoy to test and fix motion blur for liquids instead of real flow http://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/lucid/

never mind,
At frame 78 sphere turns to liquid. Liquid hits the wall and sphere turns invisible (you can see just axis traveling) and continues traveling though the wall until frame 100. So liquid just mimics sphere's motion blur until sphere stops at frame 100 and then liquid does not have mb anymore.

Unfortunately sphere's mb is wrong for liquid mesh particles

coilbook, this bad example. try to make the water flow, motion blur will work on splashes? or on the stream?

if not put checkbox for vertex motion blur here -

motion blur not working?

Hi,

Testing is currently being conducted on Ornatrix (another plugin from the same company, that deals with hair rendering). With the dialogue established, it should be easier to create another dialogue with them about this plugin as well.

On top of this, continuing work on the core of Octane will likely correct this issue in it's current form. In either case, you can rest assured the this issue will be dealt with for Octane 3 release

No worries.

I will follow up with ephere after the Ornatrix stuff is functional.

Hi coilbook,
I will ask information to developers about this, in the meantime you can use
sub frame motion blur workflow.

No we cannot use sub frame motion blur as it doesn't affect pass, vertex motion blur with abc from houdini with velocity channel doesn't work also.
It has been years for all people asking motion blur with liquids ...
