Suggestion on OctaneBench software

I think OctaneBench should separate the transfer and the actual rendering because people like me that do a lot of animation work care a lot about the transfer (in many ocations the transfer lasted longer than the actual render)
Maybe is should produce 2 scores and by adding them you get the total render speed.

Please consider this in a future release of the OctaneBench. I'd love to have that info before upgrading my GFX cards.

PS. Didn't know where to post this! Sorry if I placed it in a wrong place

Hi Synthercat,
if I remember well, you are on Linux, correct?
Do you know that the latest versions have drastically reduced the geometry compilation time under Mac and Linux?

here is the release note about this:
Reduced the geometry compilation times on OSX and Linux. It's still a little bit slower than on Windows, but not as much as in the previous versions. Any further improvements would require some major changes in the geometry compilation code, which we plan to give a try some time after 3.00.
