Hello dear folks!
I have a simple question. I dont seem to find how to get Material ID (similar to pass index in cycles) and Object index passes from Octane blender edition. I can find where to activate the passes in the Scene tab as in the screen shot.

I can not find where to set the index for separate materials.
Is it available in Octane?
Thanks for help in advence!

hi there, the material ID pass is a boolean value, so either enabled or disabled. If this is enabled, Octane itself assigns the RBG value according to the material mapped to the geometry. You'll have to apply a different material for that geometry in order to get a material ID for that geometry (at least that's how it is in the SE). what are you getting on the viewport in blender? and which build of the blender plugin are you using?

Hello,
I use version 2.25
In cycles each material (which has assigned pass ID) comes as separate pass alpha mask.

I found the one you are saying under octane kernels\ infochannel type material ID. It is similar to Vray with assigning RGBs but it automaticly assign RGBs to all materials in the scenes. It should be rendered separately, after final is rendered if I get it right. That will work for me.
But it seems Object layer ID is not same as Object ID (gives mask of certain objects not textures, eg. I assign object id 1 to all cars in the scene and later I can get that object ID pass to select all the cars in the image.) Is there a way for doing this?

Thank you for help

looks like you would be better off trying out octane render layers for that. Octane's renderlayers work a little bit differently. they work at another level of Blender and they are distinct from Blender scene render layers which is what cycles work with. with octane renderlayers enabled, set the mesh type of each object to scatter and then you can specify the Layer number for specific objects.

Can you explain how to do it in Blender. I search documentation and also checked possible places in blender but couldnt find.
Thank you!

Thank you,
One last question, do I have to render each layer separately, or is there a way to render all layers at once?
