Hi,
As will be the case with all external plugin supports (e.g. Forest Pack, Ornatrix, etc) Octane 3 will introduce some game-changing possibilities that could lend itself very nicely to getting a tight, clean integration with a variety of other products. This would be far preferable to the work-around approach that has been the norm for some time, due to various limitations an caveats that are being addressed as part of our current efforts.
By at least getting this working with Octane 3, we can put sometime into investigating Octane 2, depending on demand and resources. It would be great seeing the Ornatrix plugin working with Octane. Given the demand on the forums for Ornatrix, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to acquire an in-house license.
