Sadly the alpha does crash my max 2015 and on unistallation to put the latest 2xx takes the tbb.dll out of the system, I had to replace it with one taken from internet but now the hidden view is corrupt.. nice one

Reinstall the Alpha. Had the same issue.. i had octane 3 as standart renderer. once uninstalled i get the tbb error and could not start max.. reinstall Octane Alpha 3 and set the scanline renderer as standart then quit and uninstall octane.. error should be gone. worked for me

Nope, Sadly it does not work, I re-installed the Alpha, set the default to Scanline, then quit and unisntall the Alpha but still take the tbb.dll out ( but this time I made a copy of the dll ) 3dsmax still hang on opening of the materials slot.

p.s. and Max 2014 too

the TBB.dll was introduced in octane v3 i presume. so if you uninstall it and had scanline as default and then installed octane v2 there should be no tbb error. thats what happened with me. Octane v2 does not install the tbb.. but octane v3 does. ps im on Max 2016 not sure if it makes a big difference

Hi,
Thank you for raising this issue. It seems that that uninstall process needs to be improved. I will run some tests on my end to get a better grip on the issue.
Thanks again for raising the issue.
