First of all, I want to thank thew forum in giving much information for me to assemble a computer for this software. Still need a few days for the computer to be finished but I'm really excited.

For my questions

1. Is there a way to save the view that you rendered so that you can go back to it just in case you need re-render a scene from the exact placement?

2) How do you deal with revisions? I do architectural renders mainly and it's always certain that revisions will be made. So how do I import/ delete the old/revised areas with the existing WIP file, or is this even possbily? If not does this mean I need to start from the very beginning with every changes?

3) I've seen in the forum that you can import materials? How exactly do you do that?

I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions along the way and would like to ask for your patience as I'm admittedly a noob with the program.

Thanks

PS: Just for information sake, I normally use Sketchup for modelling because of its speed and it's ease to just drop all design revisions.

1.- you can either save a file for each camera shot ot you can save the camera node and relink it as needed.
2.- Just select the mesh node and reload the new mesh, it'll keep the materials allready assigned and you'll see the new materials. Relinking is great and you can change as much as you want, also you can load a second mesh node with changes to compare both just clicking in either of them (or as many as you want)
3.- You can drag and drop materials allready done from the live data base or you can save to disk materials you've done and reloaded in other scenes.
Hope that anwsers all your questions.

Thanks Kubo

OK, so my computer is finally up and running. Bought a license already (Yehey!). How do I activated the beta version now? Is there a separate download for the licensed version or do I just enter the parameters from the demo?

Thanks

You get a mail from refractive with explanation and download link.
They do the activations at new zealand office time.
