scatter object - animated noise

hey ahmet, hey guys,

lately i discovered the scatter object and came to the point where i wanted to give it a try animating it.
unfortunately, when giving an animated noise for example in the scale parameter the change it does will show up in the liveviewer after refreshing each frame but not when rendering in the picture manager.
to make sure what i mean i attached a scenefile.

however i found a workaround by using the mograph shader effector, this will work - but maybe it would be great to have a solution right out of the box in a future release?

have a nice day,
jonas

When you don't change anythings, update engine can't know there is a update. This is the problem couldn't found a proper/fast way. Just give a key to a parameter in shader.

Hello guys,

I'm having a similar problem using animated trees with Forester and the Scatter tool. If i use a single animated tree, an Octane Tag does the trick and shows the animation in the Picture viewer. However, when I try to scatter the trees, the animation doesn't pass along. The only workaround so far is to resend all the data, which takes FOREVER ina 600+ animations.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi esteban_diacono,
have you any particolar reason in not using the MultiCloner provided by Forester?
It has very interesting features like the growing and a lot of filtering options and works smoophly with c4dOctane ;)
