Feature Request: Progressive Animation Rendering

I think this feature could be liked my many users:

Progressive Animation Rendering

What does it mean?
Octane should render an animation first with eg 100 samples per pixel from the beginning to the end. Then Octane should start over and refine from 100 to to eg. 500 s/pix. After this again to 1000 samples and so on.

Why?
It would it make possible to see the rendered animation very quick. And if you wait enough the quality of the animation gets better and better. Octane would start over and over again and on each pass the frames would be nicer and smoother.

The maximum samples and the steps between passes should be selectable.

Any comments on this idea? Is it a good idea?

Scene compiling would make this a really slow way to actually render for final quality.

Hi Uhlhorn,
as far as I know, there should still be a Resume Rendering feature in the v3 road map... let's see if it will be confirmed in a couple of days during GTC 2016 ;)

Nice! This feature should be usable for this (I hope).
