Geforce vs Quadro - Why chose?

Hi All,
For discussion - build for all projects. In short Quadro cards are geared for image quality. Gaming cards are geared for speed, for obvious reasons. If you're a 3d artist there is a visible difference between these types of cards in areas such as AA. But with a render engine like Octane speed is the name of the game. So for most folks using Octane a high end Geforce card(s) is a no brainer. However, if you find yourself switching from Octane to other render engines depending on project needs, you may find Geforce cards are not your first choice.
So cutting to the chase. Running a Quadro card in the first/default slot and running say, x2 980 Ti's in other slots should give you the best of both worlds. Having said that, I would like to hear some opinions of tech savvy, 3d folks on running this set up.
Thanks All.
