Specular material without the distortion?

Hi

I'm working on some packaging shots, where different objects are wrapped/packaged in hard case transparent plastic.

like this http://ii.worldmarket.com/fcgi-bin/iips ... %20Machine

But there is a problem. I want to have a lot of reflection in the plastic, but increasing the index results in distortion of the object inside. I guess the specular acts as glass, rather than plastic. But how would I get that
completely transparent but highly reflective material - without the distortion - in octane?

Nope.
It requires some thickness(volume) to behave correct. One side is for enter point of rays to volume, other is side is for escape point of rays. So it can correctly calculate the materials and also you can use mediums if you need.
