Hi guys.
Just wondering if Octane 3 have the triangle limit removed or is the same. I read something about it, but, can not find it.
Cheers

I am pretty sure the cap is removed already in the Alpha of v3. You still need to be able to fit the Geo Into your GPU though

Hi,
yes, correct, the polygon limit was removed also in the Alpha 3.1 version, but be careful that you need more than 16GB of RAM to go over 10M triangles without going to paging mode. About VRAM, you can reduce the Parallel Samples value to 1 in order to save space for geometry... roughly, 1M triangles take up to 170 MB of VRAM.
Here is a simple scene that almost grows by 1M for every rows of the upper mograph cloner:

Great to know !
I have 4 Titan X, 12 Vram each, but, I just see the amount of ram of one card on the render info, why is that ?
I believe that most of my vram usage is on the textures, both things goes together. just 3 million triangles.
After finish the scene that I already render I will try the Octane 3.1 alpha.
Cheers.

Work with V3 Alpha6.1.
Of course textures will eat some vram until your VRAM filled. If you enabled "out of core" they will be used from RAM after VRAM is unsufficient. Compare your scene without textures.
