Using G3M and G2F, render a little slow. Add hair, and I get the following error. See attached picture.
Nvidia 364.51, Octane Plugin 2.24.2.5

This just started happening. Everything was fine. Maybe the latest updates? Weird.

Could it have started happening since you updated the NVidia driver?

I'll have to try and go back a couple versions. I think there were 2 just recently. Weird thing is, I can use Victoria 4, and 6 with male counterparts, props, room scene, etc, and renders fine. If I have (2) Genesis 3 Characters, hair, genitals, and a simple bed prop, it crashes and give me the same error I attached last message. I contacted DAZ, but, well, their tech support is shall we say "clueless" to put it mildly. I can't see how a GPU driver and the G3 characters could cause a problem, but then again, it's a computer. Any other insights would be greatly appreciated.

Plugin? Do you mean "drivers"? I don't know what you mean by this - if you go to http://www.nvidia.com/download/find.aspx it gives you all the old drivers.

This won't be a DAZ issue. It will either be hardware, Nvidia drivers, or Octane.

Thinks to try:

1) Reboot - often this fixes cuda error 999 problems.
2) Make sure you have NOT overclocked your card.
3) Roll back to cuda driver 385.50

If you still have the problem, it could be a hardware issue, or a problem with Octane, in which case try the latest 2.25 version of the plugin.

I'm guessing you mean 358.50?

Sorry - yes, I meant 358.50.

The test version of the 2.25 build is at https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... _Win64.exe.

Still getting the Render Engine Failure Error as I posted originally. Octane 2.5 and the NVidia driver 385.50. With just G3M & F and hair and Gens, sluggish to render. Soon as I add a room, or prop, even just a bed, I get the error. Any ideas?

Unfortunately it's sounding like a hardware issue. Do you have a separate card as your Windows display adapter? Is the Poser plugin giving similar errors?

Have you tried reinstalling Octane Standalone (via the installer .exe) to set your Nvidia driver time-outs?

Try underclocking your card.
