Network Render -

Hi,

today I added a renderslave to my master (Mac Pro as a master and a PC as a slave, features below).
The network installation works fine, in the LV window I can see 4/4 and slave 1, but in the Settings/Devices-Tab
I see only the onboard gpu, the k5000 but not the other 4 Titans inside the slave.

Now, unfortunatly c4d R16 freezes while navigating in the viewport unlike the configuration with only one card.
I hope to solve the problem If I turn off the k5000 from rendering, but I can´t do this because
this is the only card I see.

any Ideas?
Thanks!

You wont see your slaves cards under devices, only your local GPU.

Hi corneliuz,
did you activate the "Priority" option in the device manager for the K5000?

Hi Beppe,

yes, I did. here are my settings:
Regardless of the problem with c4d-crash, I can not use the 12 GB VRAM of the four Titans when the Quadro is involved, right?

Best wishes,
corneliuz

Correct, but, if you have enough system RAM on your Mac, you could try to activate 8GB of out of core option to roughly match the 12GB limit of the Titans. You will lose a bit of power (10/20%) but you will be able to work with huge scenes.

Hi corneliuz,

Hi,
I don't except any crashes without hitting any limitation of gpus. Better to post some info what crashes are you talking? Bugreport.zip, version, last operations, etc..

In the moment I can´t give you more information as seen in the signature.
c4d crashes if moving the render camera.
I work with the latest version of the c4d-plugin and octane render.

Next time I will send you a bug report.
Until then, have a nice weekend!

Best, corneliuz
