Hi,

Apologies for the belated response. When issues are introduced by a version change, the first thing to confirm is versions of your CUDA driver (or drivers). Please confirm that you have the latest CUDA drivers installed.

If you have already done this, but still have issues - are you running the exact same scene in both versions and finding issues in the latest? Is this only happening on new scenes that are taking advantage of new features in 2.x, there could possibly be hardware limitations that you are facing (only if you are doing some really intensive stuff though).

Let me know if updating CUDA drivers didn't resolve your issue.

Cheers,
Azen

Hi,

Could you provide more details regarding your scene? How many polys in the scene? Do you use static meshes? What render passes are you using?

It could be likely that you simply have insufficient memory to execute your render. Buffers are set up in your system memory to collect and send to the GPU, and these can get very large. It is often recommended to have at least 32 GB of system memory on a rendering machine, so hitting a limit at 16 GB isn't too surprising.

To eliminate this as a potential issue, I would be happy to have a look at the scene for you. I can PM you more details if you are interested. If this issue persists on a machine with more ample specs, this will help to better inform further troubleshooting.

Cheers,
Azen
