Displacement + Texture Emission

I'm making a mix material between a diffuse material with texture emission and a shiny spec version. As soon as I enable displacement in the mix material the emission switches off. Is this a bug? I need to use displacement rather than normal or bump as I need the surface to actually deform.

Are you sure you connected the Displacement node to the MixMaterial? It's necessary to always connect the Displacement node to the upper level MixMaterial when you use more than one material in a shader. Only one displacement map may be used in a shader.
For me, it works fine.

hi,
I agree with atome451, anyway at this link you can find a displacement + emitter material with and without mix material

Hi guys, thanks for the quick response.
Beppe - that specular mix material is what I'm after. Can't say I'd have figured that out on my own, you've got the emissions set to 10000! Bonkers, but it works. I've attached a test scene i was playing with which wasn't working. Enable Displacement on the Mix and emissions would switch off.
Anyway cheers you are a legend.

Hi grain,
exaggerated

I hope to have correctly understood what you want to obtain

here is a version of your file with displacement and emission on a mix material:
