Gnomon released a tutorial series for Octane using Maya.

haven't watched it yet, but I've seen a lot of tutorials from them and they are always good.

As a Maya user, I'm looking forward to checking this out. The Maya plug-in forum is pretty spartan for content for new Octane users.
