OctaneRender for SketchUp 2.25.0.0 - Test Release
Posted: Tue Jan 26, 2016 1:12 am
This build has some minor improvements to the node graph and to texture handling. It also incorporates the latest 2.25.0 build of the Octane SDK.

Several users have made good suggestions regarding changes to the way the node graph works, such as leaving out some inessential nodes and rearranging the connections to make the graph a bit simpler and easier to work with. These are good ideas and I will definitely be investigating changes along these lines, but this sort of change requires some fundamental rewiring at the core of the whole graph manipulation system; it's not the sort of thing I can fix with a few tweaks to the graph window alone, unfortunately. So, while I certainly hope to be able to give you these improvements in the future, it's not something I can deliver overnight. Stay tuned!
I've also been looking into the issues some users have reported with texture scaling and alignment sometimes showing unexpected differences between SketchUp and Octane. I've made some improvements there, but these issues were always difficult to reproduce, and I can't be sure I've tracked down all the bugs in this area. If anyone is still seeing this problem in the latest build, please try to give us a reproducible series of steps that will reliably demonstrate the problem, and I'll take another look at it.
