Hello,
I wonder if anybody has already tried the new texture baking feature, Is there any kind of example available or maybe even a simple explanation / tutorial ?
Does anybody know the workflow how the textured geometry can be transformed into a format suitable for real time examination like e.g. in a 1.person shooter like (unreal engine?)?
thanks for your feedback
Andreas

It is very straight forward.
You just have to choose the baking camera type.
That's it.

Hi,
yes, I found it extremely powerful, not only for real time scene navigation (that is the prefered result), but also to drastically reduct the shaders complexity like nested dirt and procedural noise nodes that is a great time saver especially for animation rendering

Hello Beppe,
thanks again for your answer,
do you use the unreal engine to create realtime scenes? Is it time consuming / complex ?

Be aware that at the moment you cannot bake any surface that uses Displacement.
