Material export exchangeability

Since Poser doesn't do too much to keep me exited with it's last updates I consider using DAZ Studio more, as it's plugin now is in good hands obviously. ;)
I have some fairly complex shaders developed and exported from within the Poser plugin though, that I would like to continue using.
Having played with the DAZ Studio demo plugin, I noticed that it uses the .ocm format for export/import, which differs from the format the Poser plugin uses.

So my question is: Is or will it be possible to import saved materials exported by the Poser plugin into the DS plugin?

You can export a material from the Poser plugin to the LocalDB as ORBX, and load into the DAZStudio plugin (load from C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\OctaneRender\localDb) from the Materials tab.

well, that's great news! :)

would it be possible to have an export to orbx on the mesh level, too, like the "export all materials from this figure" option?
it would be OK if it would export the included materials in single files, eg like "torso.orbx", "hip.orbx", "face.orbx", "lower arm.orbx" and the like.
or does that exist already, and I'm too blind, again? :D

Hi Uwe - that's not a function that is available at the moment. However you can export the entire scene to ORBX, can open it in Octane Standalone and save the individual materials to ORBX from there.
