It has a abstract feel to it, maybe thats the lights.

haha while my ability to texture map is below idiotic - I would love to give a 707 a go - I have one so I could use it for reference

i know the guy that makes d16's plugin graphics uses blender for his models:

I think he uses YafaRay (might be LuxBlend though)
