Maya plugin not installed

Hi,

I installed the Maya plugin but it doesn't appear in the plugin manager. The installer didn't look at all like what is on this page

https://docs.otoy.com/Maya_2_0/?page_id=22

I never asked me which version of Maya of anything. It just installed something somewhere but I have no idea what actually happened.

That's for the Mac version. Any idea?

Hi,
please, could you be more specific about your system, hw and sw?
Do you have a recent Nvidia card with recent drivers?
Have you tried to install the standalone demo, and if yes, what happens?

Ok,
as described in the link that you have posted, after installation, you have to go to the Plugin manager and verify that the octane plugin demo il loaded:

Then go to the render setting and choose octane as prefered:

As I mentioned, it doesn't appear in the plugin manager. When I installed the plugin, it didn't even ask me which version of Maya I wanted it to be installed with. There's something wrong with the installer.

Do you have more than one Maya app in your Autodesk folder?
Actually, the mac installer doesn't asks the Maya version, but since I have only the 2016 version, I have got no issue during the demo installation
To find out where is the octane demo, you have to right click to any Maya app and choose "Show Package contents", than navigate to Contents/MacOs/Plug-ins:
