Hello,
I just stumbled upon this site and saw the information about the 2015 oculus competition and I am wondering if you all plan on hosting this comeptition again in 2016; I'd absolutely love to participate!
Thanks

We want to. Will probably happen once version 3 is in alpha, and we can release a V3 update for Octane VR/ORC/ORBX player.

I'd love it, if the competition this time would be one round only, but three months long contest period.
Entries should have intro and outro, at least three renders, navigation between them and a sound track(s).
Sort of like three strip VR cartoon, a short story..
I for one would like to see if this kind of concept works..

Here's my testing of this sort of thing. I would love to see what others would create..

Never watched footage like that;
While watching on a phone held 20cm away from eyes it's quite clearly 3D, there is a second image on the outsides (presumably would not be there if there was division between the images so each eye could only see its intended image)
Pretty cool stuff

Thanks.
I haven't been able to test how dialog would work with stills. If the guy in the first image would crack some joke, and it would be still image, would it work? If there were continuous background street ambience between renders, between different expressions.. I have no clue. In theory, it could work as a sort of audiobookish/cartoonish way.
