Octane "hanging"

Just started having this issue as I moved to another machine (didn't happen on my other machine) and am wondering if any others have had the same issue. I've read the "F9 freezing" threads but it doesn't seem to apply to my issue.

I've started rendering directly on a three card octane machine which I accessed over the network from a single card machine previously. It will render a random number of frames and then seem to "hang". It allows me to abort it, but it can sit for quite some time and not progress. I'm only rendering an AO and a Main pass. It doesn't seem to matter which LW scene I'm using (though they are all from the same original, but split out into object parts). The way I can usually get it to render again is to close the renderer, click on "switch to LW" button and then click on "switch to Octane", load up the IPR and then immediately hit F10 to render (without closing IPR), but occasionally that doesn't work until I completely close out of LW.

really strange, I can't reproduce the error, but can reproduce the quick fix.

so now I can pretty much get it to restart each time by pressing "reload" after starting IPR...I've also set the Render Target to Reload the scene as well, but it doesn't get rid of the "hang"

Weird issue. Can be useful to enable the log to see at what point it hangs. Can you send me one of these scenes?

yeah, will do. Also, I jumped back on the previous machine (single card, network attached to six other cards) to let it render and it finished without issue...REALLY strange...

This sounds to me like a hardware or driver issues, but if it was working before as render node without problems, it is really strange.

The log could have a CUDA error, with more information about the problem.

thanks, I've checked the previous octane log file and there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary that sticks out. I'll set it up to fail again and see if something new comes up.
