Choosing GPU's to render

Hi there,

Just a quick noob question. Is it possible to use only the GPUs selected inside settings window (the once I use for LV rendering) for final render output in Picture viewer instead of ticking 'use all gpu's' button? I have a GPU expander hooked up on my machine but would like to leave the internal gpu unused to keep working while rendering out my work. If I uncheck 'use all GPU's' just my internal one renders.

Thanks
Dan

If you are trying to render with Octane in the picture viewer and continue to work with the Octane's Live viewer with another GPU, you need to run Cinema 4D twice with a special command.
I dont remember the exact procedure to do that but Aoktar explained it a lot of times. I don't know if it continues to work today...

I've searched the procedure but didn't find it... Someone remember ?

EDIT : Oops, sorry. I didn't read right. I have a similar problem with my expander : the GPU's aren't correctly identified on the HUD in the Live viewer then this HUD isn't a good reference. In settings, my GPU's are correctly identified. If you check the right GPU's in your settings and uncheck 'use all GPU's' in render settings, it should work fine.
Sometimes (not each time), if i work a day without the expander switched on, the day after with the expander on, the list has changed in the setting and i have to check again the right GPU's. I think it's not an Octane issue but system issue. It appends also sometimes when i update the GPU driver.
Do i read right this time ?
