Octane renders fine with Poser 11 as long as you do not use the new material features in the Material room
You can load P10 or earlier materials

Bugger!
Sounds like you have a bit of work to do Paul, since materials is what Octane does...
Thanks for that information.

Didn't know Poser 11 was out already? o_O
Thought the official release was Nov. 17?

It's not out as far as I know... just trying to fix problems before they occur... and looks like they will occur...

This is becoming hard now... people not reading or understanding the comments from other contributors.

Paul...
What does this mean to you?
Sounds like to me to mean....
Octane renders fine with Poser 11 as long as you do not use the new material features in the Material room

...
All I said was that for Poser 11 to work with current Octane version will mean a lot of work converting new material to old Poser 10 material....
Oh bugger this... I'll go back to being more concerned about the wankers that shoot people for no reason in France...

At the risk of repeating myself....
It should work.
To clarify this....the plugin will convert the standard Firefly materials to Octane materials. It will not convert the Superfly materials to Octane materials.

Yes, and that is what I understood from way back... does this mean Octane for Poser is dead in the water and we should all now move to another render engine?... or as I mentioned Paul, will there be heaps of rework for the new materials to work in Poser 11....
Do we just stay with Poser 10 and standard firefly materials if we want to use Octane? some direction from Octane and the plugin would be good... should upgrade to P11 or not... should I just forget all this, shuddup and wait and see what happens.... ????
