read attributes at rendertime planed ?

hey
Houdinis main advantage against all other packages is the access to all generated data. Which is rendered useless with octane for the moment.
Ive could really use attributes at rendertime, and for point instancing too.
Is this planed to implement or straight up not possible with octane?

Currently support attributes at render time is not possible with Octane. Simple things like use the Cd attribute to set the color of the instances is not supported. This huge limitation could be fixed in Octane 3 with the OSL support, and the possibility of write custom shaders and nodes, but let's see how it works
Anyway, can you tell me what kind of render attributes are you using daily in your workflow?

its not about a particular attribute, its more about general access to attributes.
right now I am doing some procedural modeling where I use some dozen attributes to help me with the shading. which is therefore procedural too.

If we can have a basic implementation for attributes, the critical ones are Cd, N and pscale, that will be great!!
Thank You!!

Yes guys i agree, ability to read point attribute in an octane shader like in arnold would be great.
