Anyone know of a way to save out materials so they don't need to be made from scratch every time?

Thanks,

I save my materials in the standalone. Don't know if you can in SU..... (another annoying quirk)

An older video that basically shows how...

You can create a skp file with all the custom materials you use, render the scene, then you export the skp file to .ocs. So you have a "catalog of samples file" of your custom materials.
After that you can import the materials from .ocs file using the material editor. You can also choose what material import into the scene.
see attachment

p.s. probably the material editor is now advanced, I use sketchup 2014 with an old version of octane yet.
pp.s. work online: sometimes if you charge the materials offline using this method octane make objects desappear.
