Question about having more than 1 video card

In my current setup I have a Titan X and a 980ti

When I put in my setting both cards I notice the vram is only6gb
When I only put on my Titan I get 12gb of vram
and when I only have my 980ti on I get 6gb again but for some reason it goes faster than my TitanX
Am I doing something wrong?

From my very limited knowledge I can see 2 reasons:

- Currently, Octane uses the card with the lowest VRAM as the available memory.
- You have checked 'Use Priority' on the Titan and set the Priority to 'Low', hence the Titan is given less priority than the 980 when rendering. This setting is to allow a GPU to be freed up for other tasks such as screen redraw, which is important to reduce lag when doing preview work. When only rendering it's fine to turn this off.

Octane needs to cache all your objects into your vram of both cards, so if you use 2 cards it give you the vram ammount of the card with the lowest vram, because it cannot go over that (since both cards need the same data in the vram)
